(1) According to Scouting in NSW April 1982 a Troop registered at Wollongong in 1909. In January 1910 2 Patrols Curlews & Kangaroos had camp at Dobnig’s Bush under SM Horne and for part of camp Leichhardt scouts camped with them. For Easter 1910 SM Horne & 9 Scouts hiked from Wollongong to Tom Ugly’s Point camped there 1 night and then went onto Cooks River. The whole hike took only 1 and ½ days. In June 1910 they had 13 Scouts and as had little funds and so had difficulty getting a room to meet in. It is mentioned in Sunday Times 11/12/1910 as planning Christmas camp at Tom Ugly’s Point with 1st Woonona. In early 1911 the Youngest Scout in Group J Hickey performed a good turn – while coming up Crown St he noticed an old blind man who was trying to find his way to Corrimal Street to catch the Port Kembla coach. Scout Hickey immediately guided the old man to his destination and saw him placed safely in the coach. Sunday Times mid 1911 said now have club room and had formed mounted patrol.

In September 1921 according to SCT 30/9/1921 “a concert was advertised, some expenses incurred, and tickets sold. It did not eventuate.
