History

In mid-1944 a contingent of 20 from Wingello attended a Scout evening at Marulan who were anxious to form a Troop. Public meeting held at Wingello Hall on 8/7/1944 to establish Troop with John Holden appointed SM on probation and a Group Committee was formed. Troop started 30/6/1944 with 14 Scouts / registered 15/9/1944 and met at Mechanics Hall. In 1944 only had Scouts and J Holden SM.

Had 12 Scouts/1 Leader in 1945 & 46, 13 Scouts/1 Leader in 1947, 10 Scouts/1 Leader in 1948. Deregistered 1949. Attended District Scout camp and District Youth Sunday Service at Bowral in 1947.
