The Executive Committee of the Far South District Boy Scouts' Association, was told, on Thursday night last week, that a group has been formed at Eaglehawk, near Adaminaby, and that every eligible boy in that settlement is now a member.

The Committee confirmed and approved the registration of the Eaglehawk Group, its initial numbers being 18 Cubs and 17 Scouts. The following warrants will be issued in the Group: I. W. McKenzie, G.S.M.; L. E. Mathews, S.M.; A. J. West, A.S.M.; D. I. Mathews, C.M.; E. Thompson A.C.M.

CHAIRMAN'S OUTLINE

The Chairman, Mr. L. J. Kimber, gave an outline of what had been done about the Bombala Group, and he and Commissioner Fisher undertook to take steps to attempt to revive the movement in that centre. Failing this, they were empowered to take control of the Group's funds and equipment to be held in trust.

The resignation of Eden Scoutmaster D. L. Chalmers, who has been transferred to Sydney, was received, and the Secretary was instructed to write a suitable letter of thanks to Mr. Chalmers.

District Commissioner Fisher told of having visited the Group, and told the meeting that former Bega Scouter, Keith Evans, has agreed to take over the Eden Troop, and will apply for a fresh warrant.

The Reverend Buck was welcomed, and agreed to apply for a warrant as G.S.M., 1st. Bega, and in the meantime, he will act in that capacity.
