History

District formed May 1969 from division of Central Illawarra, South Illawarra and Farmborough Districts.

Badge (issued 1980(BB)) was a dingo with Mt Warrigal in background.

Ceased to exist 1978 when merged with Central Illawarra district to form Lake Illawarra district.

Initially 1st Albion Park, 1st Boonerah Point, 1st Oak Flats, 1st Shellharbour, 1st Warilla and soon after 1st Karoo Bay. Was Albion Park, Central Oak Flats, Shellharbour and Warilla area. Mid 1970s was 1st Albion Park, 1st Boonerah Point, 1st Oak Flats, 1st Shellharbour, 1st Warilla, 1st Karoo Bay and later Central Oak Flats, Lake Illawarra PCYC Police Scout Group.
