History

District formed circa 1947.

Badge (1st issued 1980) stylised ‘where the mountains meet the sea”.

Circa 1954-67 1st Gerringong, 1st Jamberoo, 1st Kiama, 1st North Kiama. Boundaries changed May 1969 in resub division Central Illawarra, Farmborough & South Illawarra Districts into 4 districts. In 1992 in South Coast Area.

In mid 1970s was 1st Gerringong, 1st Kiama, 1st Jamberoo, 1st North Kiama, 1st Minnamurra and had District Venturer unit/ rover crew.
