History

District formed c 1946. However Scouting in NSW May 1958 says formed 1/4/1958.

Badge (1980+) design is a snow flake.

Groups attached were 1st Bombala, 1st & 3rd Cooma, 1st Kosciusko, 1st Khancoban /later 1st Snowy River, 1st Cabramurra, 1^st Sue City and 1^st Nungar.

Scouting in NSW April 1970 said Canberra – Monaro Area altered to form Canberra- Monaro Area, Monaro District and Bogong District in February 1970. In March 1979 was 1st Cabramurra, 1st Cooma, 1st Kosciusko, 1st Snowy River. On 1 March 1980 transferred from Canberra Monaro Area to South Coast Area. December 1984 1st Cabramurra transferred from Monaro to Bogong District (Hume Area).
